The guard provided with the tool must be securely attached to the power tool and positioned for maximum safety, so the least amount of wheel is exposed towards the operator. Position yourself and bystanders away from the plane of the rotating wheel. The guard helps to protect operator from broken wheel fragments and accidental contact with wheel. Use only bonded reinforced or diamond cut-off wheels for your power tool.
7. 8. 9. 10. When wheel is binding or when interrupting a cut for any reason, switch off the power tool and hold the power tool motionless until the wheel comes to a complete stop. Never attempt to remove the wheel from the cut while the wheel is in motion otherwise kickback may occur. Investigate and take corrective action to eliminate the cause of wheel binding. Do not restart the cutting operation in the workpiece. Let the wheel reach full speed and carefully re-enter the cut.
12. 13. Tips for maintaining maximum battery life Use the batteries only with the products specified by Makita. Installing the batteries to non-compliant products may result in a fire, excessive heat, explosion, or leak of electrolyte. If the tool is not used for a long period of time, the battery must be removed from the tool. Charge the battery cartridge before completely discharged. Always stop tool operation and charge the battery cartridge when you notice less tool power.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION CAUTION: Always install the battery cartridge fully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not, it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury to you or someone around you. CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before adjusting or checking function on the tool. CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridge forcibly. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it is not being inserted correctly.
Overheat protection Indicating the remaining battery capacity When the tool is overheated, the tool stops automatically, and the battery indicator blink about 60 seconds. In this situation, let the tool cool down before turning the tool on again. 2 1 On Blinking Overdischarge protection When the battery capacity becomes low, the tool stops automatically. 4. Push the coupling sleeve into the water inlet until it locks with a click. Hold the tool firmly. Grasp the handle with your right hand and the grip with your left hand. Cleaning the tool CAUTION: When feeding water, always keep the tool head lower than the tool body to prevent water entering into the tool mechanism. Failure to do so may cause electric shock. After each use, remove the battery cartridge and the wheel and then clean dust, dirt or metal chips accumulated inside the wheel guard. Clean the tool body by wiping off dust, dirt with a dry cloth or one dipped in soapy water and wrung out. Use a dry cloth to wipe the dirt off the lens of the lamp.
Changing the V-belt 1. Remove the battery cartridge and the wheel. 2. Loosen the hex socket bolts using the hex wrench and then remove the cover . 4. Hook the new V-belt to the pulley (small). Put the other end of the V-belt onto the half periphery of the pulley (large) and then turn the bolt on the pulley (large) clockwise using the box wrench. Hex socket bolt TROUBLESHOOTING Before asking for repairs, conduct your own inspection first. If you find a problem that is not explained in the manual, do not attempt to dismantle the tool.

Limpieza de la herramienta PRECAUCIÓN: Cuando alimente agua, mantenga siempre la cabeza más baja que el cuerpo de la herramienta para evitar que ingrese el agua en el mecanismo de la herramienta. El no hacerlo podría ocasionar una descarga eléctrica. Después de cada uso, retire el cartucho de la batería y la rueda y luego limpie el polvo, la suciedad o las virutas de metal acumuladas dentro del protector de la rueda.
