Installing the reaction receiver Setting up the tool Place the reaction receiver so that the bar of the reaction receiver comes to the left side of the operator. Adjust the position of the reaction receiver so that the axis of the drill chuck is in the center of the operator's body. Fasten the bolts firmly. CAUTION: Always be sure that the side handle and the reaction receiver are installed securely before operation. NOTICE: Do not over tighten the bolts. It may damage the tool.
Tool / battery protection system FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION The tool is equipped with a tool/battery protection system. This system automatically cuts off power to the motor to extend tool and battery life. The tool will automatically stop during operation if the tool or battery is placed under one of the following conditions: CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before adjusting or checking function on the tool.
Switch action Reversing switch action CAUTION: Before installing the battery cartridge into the tool, always check to see that the switch trigger actuates properly and returns to the "OFF" position when released. CAUTION: Always check the direction of rotation before operation. CAUTION: Use the reversing switch only after the tool comes to a complete stop. The mode indicator lights up in green when the tool is running in "high torque mode". If the tool is operated with excessive load, the mode indicator will blink in green. Work posture Digging operation Maintaining proper operating position is one of the most important and effective procedures for controlling kickback. Keep proper positioning by practicing the following points. • Position the tool so that the bar of the reaction receiver always contacts on the left side of your waist. • Grasp the handle and the side handle with both hands. En este caso, sacar la broca de barrena con la mano podría ocasionar una lesión a causa de su borde filoso. Si algo raro ocurre con la herramienta, como ruidos anómalos, detenga la operación inmediatamente y solicite la reparación en el centro de servicio de Makita de su localidad.

La herramienta cambiará automáticamente el modo de operación en función de la carga de trabajo.
