LUCAS ROOFING GRANULES USES AND APPLICATION
Uses:
Roofing granules are used for the protection of the roof membrane
and aesthetic purposes. Dense and non-porous‚ Lucas 3M ceramic
coated roofing granules defend against harsh weather conditions and
UV rays.
Application:
For hot type roofing the granules should be applied while the asphalt
is hot for proper embedment.
For cold and adhesive type roofing the granules should be applied
while the adhesive is still wet.
Sometimes the granules need to be pressed into the surface for
proper adhesion,
Coverage:
Granule coverage will vary depending on the viscosity of the asphalt,
adhesive and coating,
