1. Find studs in wall. Measure to ensure they are 16” on center. Figure out where you want your shelves and mark the wall.
2. Using a drill with a 3/16” bit, drill through wall into stud. MAKE SURE YOU DRILL AS DEEP AS THE LAG IS LONG (about 2” into
stud if possible). IMPORTANT: DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN LAG BOLTS OR THE HEADS WILL SNAP OFF. WATCH HEAD OF LAG
BOLT CLOSELY WHILE TIGHTENING AND STOP WHEN HEAD SEATS AGAINST BRACKET.
3. Install lag bolts. **RECLAIMED WOOD SHELVES: Install set screw into bottom of shelf.
**MODERN HARDWOOD: Predrill bottom of shelf with 1/8” bit so set screws do not break. Wrap a piece of tape around drill bit as a
guide to ensure you don’t drill up through the top of the shelf! We do not predrill these holes as the brackets may line up dierently on
dierent walls.
