Setting the sound mode
The related information of the selected button appears on the active
subwoofer display.
VSM (VIRTUAL SOUND MATRIX)
You can select the virtual sound. Press VSM to set the virtual sound.
[BYPASS] mode : Software with multichannel surround audio signals is played
according to the way it was recorded.

[VSM] mode:
Realtime 3D positioned sound rendering technology with
stereo sources, optimized for stereo speakers. Listeners may experience
amazing virtual surround effects with their own multimedia players.
5.1Ch source
[VSM] mode: Listeners may experience virtul surround effects in the 5.1 ch
from the right and left speakers and center speaker.
Set a pre-programmed sound field
This system has a number of pre-set surround sound fields. Select the one
which best suits the program you are watching by pressing EQ repeatedly to
cycle through the options: NORMAL, NATURAL, POP, CLASSIC, ROCK, JAZZ
Adjust the level settings
Adjust the speaker level settings
You can adjust the sound level of each speaker.
Press LEVEL/AV Sync to adjust the sound level.
The level indicator will appear on the active subwoofer display.
Use
bb BB
to select a desired speaker to set.
Each time you press
bb BB
, it is changed as the following order:
LEV FL (Front Left)
tt
LEV C (Center)
tt
LEV FR (Front Right)
tt
LEV SW (Subwoofer)
Use
vv VV
to adjust the sound level of the selected speaker.(-10dB ~ +10dB)
Repeat and adjust the sound level of the other speakers.
Adjust the test tone settings
You can adjust the speaker levels and balance while listening to the test tone
from your listening position.
Press TEST TONE to select the test tone mode.
A hiss noise comes out for 2 seconds from each speakers in the follwing order:
TEST FL (Front Left )

TEST CEN (Center)
tt
TEST FR (Front Right)
tt
TEST SW (Subwoofer)
You can adjust the sound level of each speaker during operating the test tone,
first press LEVEL/AV Sync then press
vv VV
, so that all speaker's sound level is
same from the listener's position. If the setting is complete, press TEST TONE.
Adjust the AV Sync settings
Sometimes Digital TV encounters a delay between picture and sound. If this
happens you can compensate by setting a delay on the sound so that it
effectively 'waits' for the picture to arrive: this is called AV Sync.
Press LEVEL/AV Sync twice.
Use PRESET+ or PRESET- to scroll up and down through the delay amount,
which you can set at anything between 0 and 300m sec. (10m sec/value)
If the setting is complete, press LEVEL/AV Sync.
The delay will vary depending on which digital TV channel you are on.
If you change channel you may need to readjust the AV Sync.
This function does not work when the active subwoofer is set to FM tuner.
Using the late night function
You can compress the dynamic range of the sound track.
Press DRC repeatedly.
This may be useful when you want to watch movies at low volumes late at
night. Dynamic range compression is possible with Dolby Digital sources only.
This function is valid only when you set the Dolby Digital to Bitstream in the
setup menu.
NIGHT OFF - Late night function off.
NIGHT STD - Small reduction in dynamic range.
NIGHT MAX - Large reduction in dynamic range.
The late night function may be less effective or have no effect depending on the
Dolby Digital source.
