MEASURING SPEAKER DISTANCES
Selecting the SPEAKER SETUP menu SPEAKER DISTANCES option
opens the SPEAKER DISTANCES menu, which can be used to set
the distance between the listening position and the loudspeakers
connected to the audio output connectors. The MC-4 features a
speaker distance control that allows distances to be entered for
each loudspeaker. This helps ensure accurate signal arrival time at
the listening position, but is not a substitute for proper
loudspeaker placement.
To determine the appropriate setting for each loudspeaker,
measure the distance between the listening position and the front
baffle of the loudspeaker. Then set the corresponding SPEAKER
DISTANCES menu parameter to the closest available setting.
