1.StarttheThinkPadSetup.

2.SelectCong.

3.SelectDisplay.

4.SelectIntegratedGraphicsforGraphicsDevice.

5.SelectEnableforOSDetectionforSwitchableGraphics.

6.PressF10tosavethechange.

YoumustinstallIntelRapidStorageTechnologyDriverbeforeinstallingtheoperatingsystem.Toinstallit,you

mayneedtoattachadiskettedrivetoyourcomputer.Ifyouhaveadiskettedrive,followtheprocedurebelow.

Beforeinstallingtheoperatingsystem,installIntelRapidStorageTechnologyDriver,asfollows:

1.Attachadiskettedrivetoyourcomputer.

2.CopyIntelRapidStorageTechnologyDriverfromC:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\IRSTtoadiskette.

3.TomakesurethatSATAAHCIisenabled,starttheThinkPadSetup.

4.SelectCong.

5.SelectSerialATA(SATA).

6.SelectAHCI.

7.Changethestartupsequenceofyourcomputer.FollowingtheinstructionsontheStartupmenuinthe

ThinkPadSetup,settheCD-ROMdrivetostartrst.

8.PressF10.

9.InserttheCDforWindowsXPintegratedwithServicePack2intotheCDorDVDdrive.

10.Toinstallathird-partySCSIdriverrst,pressF6.

11.Whenprompted,selectSforSpecifyAdditionalDevice.

12.Whenprompted,insertthediskettethatyoucreatedinstep2,andpressEnter.

13.Scrollthelistofdrivers.SelectIntelMobileExpressChipsetSATAAHCIController,andpressEnter.

14.Tocontinuetheinstallation,pressEnteragain.Leavethedisketteinthedriveuntilthenextreboot;the

softwaremayneedtobecopiedfromthedisketteagainwhenthelesarecopiedduringsetup.

15.CompletetheinstallationofWindowsXPServicePack2byfollowingOSinstallinginstructions.

16.InstallWindowsXPServicePack3.YoucaninstalltheWindowsXPServicePack3usingtheWindows

XPServicePack3InstallationCDordownloaditfromeitherMicrosoftDownloadCenterorMicrosoft
