Generaltipsforpreventingproblems
CAUTION:
IfyourcomputerisequippedwithbothaharddiskdriveandanmSATAsolid-statedrive,youarenot
recommendedtousethemSATAsolid-statedriveasabootabledevice.ThemSATAsolid-statedrive
isdesignedanddevelopedfor"cache"functionpurposeonly.IfyouusethemSATAsolid-statedrive
asabootabledevice,itsreliabilityisnotguaranteed.
1.Tochecktheharddiskdrivecapacity,clickStartComputerontheWindows7operatingsystem.For
theWindows8operatingsystem,openWindowsExplorerandclickComputer.
2.Emptyyourrecyclebinonaregularbasis.
3.Usediskdefragmenttoolregularlyonyourharddiskdrivetoimprovedataseekandreadtimes.
4.Tofreeupdiskspace,uninstallunusedprograms.
Note:Youalsomightwanttolookforapplicationprogramduplicationoroverlappingversions.
5.CleanoutyourInbox,Sent,andTrashfoldersfromyoure-mailclientprogram.
6.Backupyourdataatleastonceaweek.Ifcriticaldataispresent,itisagoodideatoperformadaily
backupoperation.Lenovohasmanybackupoptionsavailableforyourcomputer.Rewritableoptical
drivesareavailableformostmachinesandareeasilyinstalled.

Removeallexternaldevicessuchastheprinter,keyboard,andsoon.
