ThissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoreplacetheheatsinkandfanassemblyforGPU.
Note:TheheatsinkandfanassemblyforGPUisavailableonlyinmodelsinstalledwiththeGPU.
CAUTION:
TheheatsinkandfanassemblyforGPUmightbeveryhot.Turnoffthecomputerandwaitthreeto
veminutestoletthecomputercoolbeforeremovingthecomputercover.
ToreplacetheheatsinkandfanassemblyforGPU,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.Then,disconnect
allpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtothecomputer.
2.Placeasoft,cleantowelorclothonthedeskorsurface.Holdthesidesofyourcomputerandgentlylay
itdownsothatthescreenisagainstthesurfaceandthecoverisfacingup.
