1.Gentlywipethedisplaysurfacewithadry,softlint-freecloth.
2.Ifyouseeanystain,grease,orngermarks,wipethedisplaysurfacewithalightlydampclothand
alittlemilddetergent.
3.Wringoutasmuchoftheliquidasyoucan.
4.Wipethedisplaysurfaceagain.Donotletanyliquiddripintothecomputer.
5.Beforeusingthedisplay,ensurethatthedisplayscreenisdry.
Cleaningaglass-screensurface
Tocleanaglass-screensurface,dothefollowing:
1.Wipethescreensurfacegentlywithadry,softlint-freecloth,orblowonthescreentoremovegritand
otherlooseparticles.
2.Moistenasoftclothwithanonabrasiveliquidglasscleaner.
3.Wringoutasmuchoftheliquidasyoucan.
4.Wipethescreensurfaceagain.Donotletanyliquiddripintothecomputer.
5.Beforeusingthedisplay,ensurethatthedisplayscreenisdry.
Goodmaintenancepractices
Byperformingafewgoodmaintenancepractices,youcanmaintaingoodcomputerperformance,protect
yourdata,andbepreparedincaseofacomputerfailure.
•Emptyyourrecyclebinonaregularbasis.
•RuntheWindowsDiskDefragmenterprogramoccasionallytopreventperformanceproblemscausedby
anexcessivenumberoffragmentedles.
•CleanoutyourInbox,SentItems,andDeletedItemsfoldersinyoure-mailapplicationonaregularbasis.
•Makebackupcopiesofcriticaldataonremovablemediamemoryatregularintervalsandstorethe
removablemediainasafelocation.Thefrequencyofmakingbackupcopiesdependsonhowcriticalthe
dataistoyouoryourbusiness.Lenovomakesanumberofremovable-mediastoragedevicesavailable
asoptions,suchasCD-RWdrivesandrecordableDVDdrives.
•Backupyourentireharddiskdriveonaregularbasis.

•Keepalogbook.Entriesmightincludemajorsoftwareorhardwarechanges,device-driverupdates,
intermittentproblemsandwhatyoudidtoresolvethem,andanyminorissuesyoumighthave

inhardware,changeinsoftware,orsomeotheractionthatmighthavetakenplace.
