Thissectionprovidesinformationonhowtoremoveandreplaceanopticaldrive.
Toremoveandreplacetheopticaldrive,dothefollowing;
1.Removethecomputercover.See"Removingthecover"onpage68.
2.Disconnectthesignalandpowercablesfromtherearoftheopticaldrive.
3.Pressthereleasebuttonandremovetheopticaldriveoutthefrontofthecomputer.
Note:Noticethatthereisaspareretainerbracket1attachedtotheupperdrivecage.
4.Removetheretainerbracketfromthedrivebeingreplacedandinstallitonthenewdrive.
5.Slidethenewopticaldriveintothebayfromthefrontuntilitsnapsintoposition.
6.Connectthesignalandpowercablestothedrive.
