Toremoveandreinstallthefrontbezel,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.Then,disconnect
allpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtothecomputer.
2.Openthecomputercover.See“Openingthecomputercover”onpage12.
3.Removethefrontbezelbyreleasingthetwoplastictabsandpivotingthefrontbezeloutward.

4.Toreinstallthefrontbezel,aligntheplastictabsonthebottomofthebezelwiththecorrespondingholes
inthechassis,andthenpivotthefrontbezelinwarduntilitsnapsintoposition.

Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoinstallorreplaceamemorymodule.
YourcomputerhastwoslotsforinstallingorreplacingDDR3SODIMMs(smalloutlinedualinlinememory
modules)thatprovideuptoamaximumof8GBsystemmemory.Wheninstallingorreplacingamemory
module,use1GB,2GB,or4GBDDR3SODIMMsinanycombinationuptoamaximumof8GB.
Toinstallorreplaceamemorymodule,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.Then,disconnect
allpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtothecomputer.
