Inser Smar Lock bushing ino press frame;
roae urn o secure. Adjus for proper
deph when removing die— grasp he bushing
and roae urn counerclockwise. Using
he die wrench works well. Thread your die
into bushing. If cos is more imporan
han convenience, you can leave
Smar Lock bushing permanenly
insalled. emove O-ring and
dies will freely hread
in and ou as in any
convenional press. Be
sure o use a lock ring on
die o mainain seing.
Lee Smart Lock Bushings
Insert bushing ino he press, urn
clockwise urn o secure. Adjus
die in or ou for proper operaion.
Remove by roaing he die of a urn
counerclockwise. Lif ou and change o
your nex die.
PREPARE YOUR CASES Inspect your
cases while lubricating them. Discard all cases with
split necks, indications of head separation or other
defects. Wipe on a thin film of Lee Case Lubricant
with your fingers. Fingers are the best way of lubing
a case as any grit that could damage the die is wiped
away. The case may be immediately sized or you can
let the lube dry.
CAUTION
If for any reason you do no use Lee esizing
Lubrican, be very careful no o conaminae he
powder or primers. All oher brands are oil based
and have serious, derimenal effecs on powder
and primers. Because of he sickiness, hey also
arac gri ha can damage he die. Lee esizing
Lubrican coss less and is so superior ha i is
worh he effor o insis upon i or order direc
from he facory.

PLACE THE LUBRICATED CASE
in he shell holder and squeeze he levers
ogeher. Open he levers and remove he case.
Do his wih all of he cases before proceeding
o he nex sep.
CAUTION After every box of 20 rounds,
remove the shell holder and dump out
spent primers.

cause birth defects, reproductive harm, and
other serious physical injury. Wash hands

Screw the Expanding Die one urn

die flares he case mouh for easy bulle
inserion. Turn deeper o increase flare.
Adjus o minimum flare needed o sar
he bulle. Powder may be added hrough
Lee Expanding Die.
SEAT THE BULLET Place a bulle on he case mouh and
guide ino he die. aise ram o he op and wihdraw. The
adjusing screw conrols he bulle seaing deph. Adjus o sui.
Usually, seaing o he same deph as a facory round works
fine. If you desire o crimp, be sure he bulle crimp groove is
almos compleely in he case. Then screw die in jus enough
o apply a good crimp. Aemps o
apply excessive crimp will crush he
case. For proper crimp, all cases mus
be rimmed o he same lengh. For bes
uiliy and accuracy, consider he Lee
Facory Crimp Die. You will never crush
a case; no crimp groove is required and
rim lengh is no criical.
