Chapter 3 Loading Paper
3.1 Paper Thickness Adjustment
 Adjusting the gap adjust lever
Before loading cut sheet or tractor paper, you have to adjust the gap adjust lever on the front right side
of the printer. To feed thicker papers through the printer, you need to move the gap adjust lever from its
standard position. The lever moves the print head relative to the platen so that there is more room for
the paper.
To obtain good quality printing and prevent problems (paper jam etc.), adjust the gap adjust lever to
corresponding position through the paper thickness. (As Figure 3-1 shown)
3.2 Loading Cut Sheet Paper
3.2.1 Setting Cut Sheet Printing Mode
z Set paper select lever at the position of cut sheet printing mode as shown in Figure 3-2.
Caution: When switching the paper type to print, please pull the paper select lever to the end
and ensure the paper select lever is at the position of cut sheet printing mode.
3.2.2 Loading Cut Sheet Paper
1. Turn on the printer.
2. Set paper select lever at the position of cut sheet printing mode.
3. Position the left paper guider by referring to the marking on the paper rack.
