Surface Cooking CORRECT INCORRECT • Curved and warped pan bottoms. Use Proper Cookware Cookware should have flat bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface heating element. Setting Surface Controls Locations of the Gas Surface Burners 30" model: The SIMMER burner is best used for simmering delicate sauces, etc. This burner is located at the right rear burner position on the cooktop. The STANDARD sized burner are used for most surface cooking needs. These burners are located at the left front and left rear positions on the cooktop. The POWER burner is best used for bringing large quantities of liquid rapidly up to temperature or when preparing larger quantities of food.

Cookware like the cast-iron Griddle that is supplied with your cooktop is designed specifically for best results with the Bridge Burner. The Bridge Burner feature may be used to combine the cooking power of 2 or if needed 3 gas surface Burners located along the left-hand side of the glass cooktop.
Setting Surface Burner Controls Setting the Dual Ring Burner (some models) The Dual Ring Burner has two rings of flame that you can control for two different heat levels, one for small and one for large cookware. Buff with a non-abrasive cloth or no-scratch cleaning pad. This will make cleaning easier when soiled from cooking.
General Care & Cleaning (cont’d) Do not use the following on the ceramic glass cooktop: • Do not use abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, such as metal and some nylon pads. They may scratch the cooktop, making it more difficult to clean. • Do not use harsh cleaners, such as chlorine bleach, ammonia or oven cleaners, as they may etch or discolor the cooktop. • Do not use dirty sponges, cloths or paper towels, as they can leave soil or lint on the cooktop which can burn and cause discoloration.
General Care & Cleaning (cont’d) Cleaning the grates The burner grates are dishwasher safe and may be cleaned in the dishwasher. Remove any excessive soils before placing in the dishwasher. IMPORTAnT ● For proper gas flow and ignition of the burners — DO NOT allow spills, food, cleaning agents or any other material to enter the gas orifice opening. ● The cooktop is not removable. Do not attempt to remove or lift the cooktop. To avoid possible burns use care when cleaning the cooktop.
Before You Call Solutions to Common Problems Before you call for service, review this list. It may save you time and expense. Pula con un paño no abrasivo o una esponja de limpieza antirayaduras. Esto facilitará la limpieza cuando se ensucie al cocinar.

Modelos con Quemadores Sellados (algunos modelos) LIMPIADOR Recomendaciones de Limpieza para Cubiertas de Vidrio Cerámico S JA ES AMONIACO LIMPIADORES CLORO N PO ATENCION NO use un limpiador de tapas de cocina cuando la tapa está caliente. El humo puede ser peligroso para su salud y dañar químicamente la superficie de vidrio cerámica. Verifique que los controles estén en la posición APAGADO.
