WARNING: Risk of scalding.
High water temperature can
cause severe burns. Set the water
temperature at or below 120°F
(49°C) following the adjustment
procedure in the valve Installation
and Care Guide.
NOTE:
Do not install aerator until after
flushing the spout.
8
Reinstall the sleeve. Install the
longest extension onto the valve
stem with the longest screw.
7
Remove the sleeve and cut at the
notch closest to the inside of the
mark. The cut sleeve should not
protrude beyond the finished wall.
6
Using a shower valve socket
wrench, fully thread the sleeve
onto the valve. Mark where the
sleeve is flush with the wall.
5
Optional: If desired, apply a
bead of clear silicone sealant
around the escutcheon.
4
Slide the escutcheon over the
spout until it is flush with the wall.
13
Apply plumbers putty to the
flange and attach.
12
Disassemble the drain.
11
To adjust handle position, rotate
the extension one tooth. Repeat
until aligned.
10
If the escutcheon is not flush with
the wall when fully threaded, use
the next shorter extension and
screw.
9
Place the handle horizontally
onto the stem extension. Thread
the escutcheon into the sleeve.
18
Retain the aerator removal key
for future use.
17
Install the aerator in the spout
with the tab facing up.
16
Run the water for 1 minute to
flush debris from the spout.
15
Install the stopper. Connect the
trap. Remove excess sealant.
14
Tighten the nut. Apply thread
