Deck Mount Bath Set INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 2. Prepare the Deck Remove the plaster guard from the spout supply tube. Cut off the spout supply tube 1-1/4” above the rim, finished deck, or tile. Remove all burrs from the spout supply tube to prevent damage to the O-ring seal on the spout sleeve assembly. NOTE: The following step is applicable to a tile covered rough deck installation only. 1-1/4” (3.2 cm) Tile Rough Deck Slide a brass washer, flat side facing forward, onto the supply tube.

Deck Mount Bath Set INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Install Spout (cont’d) Place the gasket over the sleeve and against the finished deck. Position the spout on the sleeve, and carefully press down until the spout contacts the finished deck. Align the spout as desired, and tighten the setscrew. Install button to cover setscrew, if provided. Spout Assembly Button Setscrew Gasket Sleeve Finished Deck For P24503: Spout Assembly Place the gasket over the sleeve and against the finished deck.

Deck Mount Bath Set INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Install the Handles (cont’d) For P24503: Close the valves (hot = clockwise, cold = counterclockwise). Install the spline adapter onto the end of the stem extension. Fasten the stem extension to the valve stem with the washer and screw. Place the handle assembly over the stem extension as far as it will go. If the escutcheon is not flush against the deck, the stem extension and screw will need to be cut.

Deck Mount Bath Set INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Install the Handles (cont’d) Thread the handle assemblies onto the sleeves by holding the handle with one hand and tightening the escutcheons with the other. NOTE: A rubber glove can be worn to achieve a better grip while tightening and to prevent damage to the finish. If desired, apply a bead of silicone sealant or caulk around the escutcheons, where they meet the deck. 4.
