Some useful hints to make the in-
stallation of Kährs Wooden floors
with Woodloc
®
5S easier.
. ALWAYS WORK USING THE CORRECT
ANGLE WHEN ASSEMBLING THE FLOOR
BOARDS
When assembling the floorboards the angel is
important and should be approximately 20°.
A maximum angle of 30° is recommended.
When assembling the boards you start by
positioning the board into the groove of the
previous row. The locking tongue will then,
while the board is being folded down, press
the locking strip into locked position and
thereby close the short end joint.
. Using an angel more than 30° might result
in a bent or broken locking tongue and
will jeopardize the function of the joint. An
unlocked joint will result in proud edge in the
short end joint of the board.
. POSITION THE BOARD CORRECTLY
When the floorboard is delivered from the
factory the locking tongue is aligned with the
front edge of the top layer. However if the
locking tongue is moved during transporta-
tion or installation it might need to be manu-
ally repositioned.
. Position the board using the correct angle
(20-30°). Adjust the board into a position
where the two short edges touch at the
corner in accordance with the illustration.
Make sure that the joint is free from dust or
other particles.
. Fold down the board into a position
aligned with the surface of the previous
board. If you can’t do this without using ex-
cess force you need to remove the board and
check the position of the locking tongue.
. USE THE LOCKING TOOL
HORIZONTALLY
The last row must always be locked manually
using the locking tool. Make sure that you
position it correctly above the joint and use
the correct side of the tool using the shortest
pin for locking. Move the tool towards you
thereby successfully moving the locking strip.
Make sure that you maintain a horizontal po-
sition of the tool. Check the result and make
sure the joint is successfully locked.
. If the tool is lifted from its horizontal posi-
tion there is a risk of not successfully moving
the locking tongue and thereby not locking
the joint. This might later result in proud
edges between boards.
. BACKWARDS INSTALLATION
When backwards installation is necessary,
the locking tongue is shifted 5mm to open
position (see illustration).
Lay the next board into position. Push in the
locking tongue manually so that the marker
triangle is aligned with the top layer to get
into locked position.
NOTE! Ensure it is in locked position by care-
fully lifting up the board.

. ACHTEN SIE IMMER AUF DEN KOR

Beim Einlegen der nächsten Diele in die
untere Nutwange der vorherigen Reihe sollte
diese in einem Winkel von ca. 20° bis 30
°nach oben stehen. Wenn nun die Diele auf
horizontale Position nach unten gedrückt
wird, drückt die Feder dieser Diele den Holz-
Komposit-Schieber auf Verschlussposition.
. Wenn die Diele in einem zu steilen Winkel
von mehr als 30° eingelegt wird, kann es
passieren, dass der Schieber verbogen oder
abgebrochen wird, so dass es eventuell zu
keinem Verschluss des Schiebers kommt. Dies
könnte zu Brüstungsfehlern an den Stirnsei-
ten führen.
. VERLEGERICHTUNG UND KORREKTE
POSITION DES VERSCHLUSSRIEGELS
Aus der Fabrik werden die Dielen für die
überwiegend vorgesehene Vorwärts-Verle-
gung ausgeliefert.
Der Verschlussriegel ist dementsprechend
positioniert. Beim Verlegen und zuschneiden
der Dielen Kann es zu einer Verschiebung des
Riegels kommen. Korrigieren Sie dann die
Position so, dass der Riegel mit dem Rand
der Deckschicht auf der Nutseite (Dielenseite
die Richtung Raum zeigt) bündig ist.
. Legen Sie die Diele im richtigen Winkel
und mit Kontakt zur Stirnseite der links
liegenden Diele ein. Achten Sie darauf, dass
kein Sägestaub oder gar Späne im Verriege-
lungsprofil liegen.
. Drücken Sie die Diele nun nach unten in
horizontale Position. Sollte dies zu schwer
gehen, überprüfen Sie die Position des
Schlüssels und die Sauberkeit des Profils.
. BENUTZUNG DES VERRIEGELUNGS
WERKZEUGS SSCHIEBER
In der letzen Reihe müssen die Stirnver-
schlüsse mit dem Werkzeug verriegelt wer-
den, weil dort keine nächste Dielenreihe den
Verschluss automatisch herstellt. Achten Sie
darauf, dass Sie den Schieber wie abgebil-
det bündig mit dem stirnseitigen Dielenrand
ansetzen und den richtigen, kurzen Stempel
des Schiebers verwenden. Den Schieber dann
horizontal heranziehen, so dass der Ver-
schlussriegel eingedrückt wird. Kontrollieren
Sie, ob der Verschluss gelungen ist.
. Wenn der Schieber nicht horizontal auflie-
gend bewegt wird, besteht das Risiko, dass
der Verschlussriegel beschädigt wird und der
Verschluss nicht erfolgt. Die Dielenenden
bleiben dann beweglich und zeigen Über-
stände.
. RÜCKWÄRTSVERLEGUNG
Wenn eine Rückwärtsverlegung notwendig
ist, muss der Verschlussriegel auf die andere
Dielenseite verschoben werden. Dies ist
ganz einfach von Hand mit dem Fingernagel
möglich.
Der Verschlussriegel muss 5 mm über die
Längsfeder der Diele hinausragen. Dies ist
der Fall wenn der eingeprägte Markierungs-
pfeil am Schieber auf den Rand der Feder
zeigt.
Achten Sie hier ganz besonders auf den kor-
rekten Einlegewinkel von 20 bis 30°.

Quelques astuces utiles pour
faciliter l’installation des parquets

. TOUJOURS UTILISER UN ANGLE ADAPTE
EN ASSEMBLANT LES LAMES
Lors de l’assemblage des lames, l’angle est
important et doit être de 20° environ. Il est
recommandé de ne pas dépasser 30 °.
Commencez en positionnant la lame dans la
cannelure de la rangée précédente. Lorsque
la lame est abaissée en position, la langue de
verrouillage compresse la bande de verrouilla-
ge en position fermée et ferme ainsi le joint
en bout de lame.
. Un angle supérieur à 30 °peut plier ou
casser la langue de verrouillage et compro-
mettre le fonctionnement du joint. Un joint
non bloqué se traduit par un espace en bout
de lame.
. PLACER LA LAME CORRECTEMENT
En usine, la langue de verrouillage est alignée
avec le bord antérieur de la couche supérieu-
re. Si elle est déplacée pendant le transport
ou l’installation, il faut la repositionner
manuellement.
. Placez la lame en utilisant un angle appro-
prié (20-30 °). Mettre les deux bords courts
en contact conformément à l’illustration. As-
surez-vous que le joint est libre de poussière
ou de quelconques particules
. Abaissez la lame en position et alignez-
la avec la surface de la lame précédente. Si
vous devez forcer de façon excessive, retirez
la lame et vérifiez la position de la langue de
verrouillage.
. UTILISER L’OUTIL DE VERROUILLAGE
HORIZONTALEMENT
La dernière rangée doit toujours être fermée
manuellement utilisant l’outil de verrouillage.
Assurez-vous que vous le placez correcte-
ment au-dessus du joint et utilisez le bon
côté de l’outil (côté le plus court) pour ver-
rouiller. Tirez l’outil à vous, permettant ainsi
le déplacement de la bande de verrouillage.
Assurez-vous de maintenir l’outil horizontale-
ment. Vérifiez le résultat et assurez-vous que
le joint est bien fermé.
. Si l’outil est soulevé hors de la position
horizontale, la langue de verrouillage peut ne
pas bouger, empêchant ainsi le verrouillage
du joint. Cela peut se traduire plus tard par
l’apparition d’espaces entre les bords des
lames.
. EN CAS D’INSTALLATION DE DROITE A
GAUCHE
Si il est nécessaire d’installer à rebours, soit
de droite à gauche, la langue de verrouillage
doit entre déplacée de 5mm en position
ouverte (voir l’illustration).
Placez la lame suivante en position. Poussez
manuellement la langue de verrouillage pour
aligner le triangle de marquage avec la cou-
che supérieure et entrer en position fermée.
REMARQUE! Assurez-vous d’être en position
fermée en soulevant délicatement la lame.
