Maintenance:
Your new bathroom faucet is designed for years of trouble free service. Keep it looking new by cleaning it periodically
with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool and harsh chemicals as this will dull the finish and void the warranty.
• Prior to installation, shut off the valves that supply the hot and cold water to the faucet. If replacing an old faucet,
turn on the old faucet's hot and cold lines to relieve the pressure in the supply lines.
• When measuring tubing and/or pipe, be sure to add the appropriate length to go into any connections being made.

Your Jones Stephens faucet has been designed and manufactured to high quality standards and therefore we warranty it
against defects in material or workmanship for 5-years. Jones Stephens will provide repair parts or replace the faucet if it is
proven defective due to materials or workmanship. Jones Stephens responsibility is limited to providing replacement faucet
or parts. Jones Stephens is s not responsible for labor or other cost incurred.
This Warranty Will Be Void Due To:
(a) defects or malfunctions are caused from failure to properly install, operat e or maintain the unit in accordance with
these printed instructions; (b) failures resulting from abuse, accident, or negligence; (c) to units which are not installed in
accordance with ordinances and good trade practices; (d) if unit is used for purposes other than for what it was designed
and manufactured; (e) finish or plating is damaged due to incorrect cleaning with abrasive cleansers. (f) contaminants in
the water such as chemicals or sediment.

components of its products without be obliged to replace or update products made and shipped prior to the changes.

result of improper installation.
Tub Faucet Installation Instructions
Step #1
When installing the shower valve make sure that it is right side up, see the
indicators on the brass casting When using threaded pipe on the inlets and
outlets of the faucet, use thread seal on all connections. If you will be
converting to copper tubing, sweat the male adapters on the copper pipe
before installing them on the faucet. If a sweat connection needs to be
made after the fitting is threaded into the faucet, make sure to remove the
cartridge so it won't be damaged by the heat.
Every tub faucet installation is unique. These installation instructions only refer to the installation of the
included parts and accessories. All connections are located behind the shower wall and are typically done
before the wall is installed. Be sure to read all instructions before continuing. Please note, this instruction
covers many faucet models, the images contained in these instructions may not match your faucet exactly.

Step #2
Use the black plastic guide as a template to make a hole in your desired
location. The shower valve should be installed so that the top surface of the
black plastic guide lines-up with the finished wall. If tile or other final surfaces
have not been installed yet, make sure to compensate so that the wall will be
flush with the top surface of the black plastic guide. The guide can be used
to protect the tub faucet from debris and damage during wall preparation.
Note:
Your faucet is equipped with a scald guard maximum temperature stop
ring. This safety feature allows you to preset the tub faucet's maximum
temperature. To use this feature: 1. Remove handle and remove decorative
flange cover. 2. Close hot and cold integral stops located just beneath as
shown in Step #6 above and turn shower valve on to relieve any pressure in
the system. 3. Remove curved decorative cover and brass locknut
bemeath. 4. To set the temperature slide red ring off cartridge. Align
indicator arrow on red ring within the range indicated on the green cartridge
face. Rotating the red ring counter-clockwise in small increments will
reduce the amount of hot water allowed in to the shower valve. Clockwise
rotation will allow more hot water. 5. Reassemble shower valve per the
instructions.
Step #3
After attaching the piping from the output of the tub faucet and running it to
the appropriate height for your installation, secure a drop-ear elbow so that
the female threads of the drop ear elbow are located directly behind the wall
at your desired shower head location. Apply thread seal to the threads on
the long side of the included shower arm as shown. Thread shower arm into
threads located inside wall. Using a cloth to protect the finish, tighten
shower arm, be sure that it is tight and facing the proper direction when
complete.
Step #4
Place flange over shower arm to cover opening in the wall. Do not install
shower head at this time.
Step #6
After installation is complete, remove and discard the black plastic guide.
Note: for faucet maintenance, use a screwdriver to turn off the faucet by
using the integral stops. This allows you to turn off the faucet without turning
off the water in the whole house. With integral stops open, turn faucet on to
test for leaks and flush out any debris trapped inside from the installation.
Step #9
Remove colored Hot & Cold indicator cover from handle. Loosen hex nut
inside handle using supplied hex wrench. Fit handle into opening at the end
of valve body. Be sure that the handle is aligned between the “H” and “C”
indicators and the lever is facing downwards. with the "off" mark on the
flange when assembling unit. Screw down hex nut inside handle and insert
colored indicator button.
Step #8
Assemble flange onto installed shower valve body. Be sure that black
washer is in place on the underside of the flange before installing flange.
Use tub sealant to close up any gaps that will allow water to get behind
flange. Tighten the screws provided.

Step #5
The threaded nipple for the tub spout should extend 3-3/4" from the finished
wall for the tub spout to be flush with the wall. When measuring the nipple
remember to account for the thickness of the wall AND the finished surface
(tiles, etc.). Place a bead of caulk to seal any openings around threaded
nipple coming out of the wall. Apply thread seal to all threads. Using a cloth to
protect the finish, Screw tub spout onto nipple until it is tight and facing
downward. Apply caulk to seal the opening around the spout against the wall.
Step #7
Install shower head to shower arm. Apply thread seal on output side of
shower arm. Be sure that the black washer is installed into the shower head.
Using a cloth to protect the finish, thread shower head onto shower arm.
