1. Cut and remove wire/cable tie from smaller end cap
located opposite handle and electrical cord.
2. Remove end cap by gently prying off tube with a
screwdriver or similar tool.
3. Notice white electrical cord protruding from shock.
Gently push 2.5” of this cord back through shock.
4. Carefully remove shock by pulling it straight out of
outer tube. Use caution as lamp may remain attached
to shock. If so, carefully pull lamp loose.
5. Remove lamp from tube and dispose of properly.
If old lamp is not broken, there is a vacuum inside and
breaking the lamp can be dangerous. A spent lamp
contains low levels of mercury, the disposal require-
ments of which vary by state. See www.lamprecycle.
org. Clean inside of outer tube if necessary.
6. Insert new lamp so bottom lamp pin inserts fully into
base of shock.
7. Insert shock into outer tube so top lamp pins insert
fully into receptacles of shock.
8. Gently pull white electrical cord through shock to
remove slack.
9. Replace end cap, making certain cap is fully seated
in groove of tube. Secure with 150-lb minimum cable/
wire tie.
10. Visually inspect light to ensure lamp is fully engaged
prior to testing.
