• Observelocalenvironmentalstandardswhendisposing
packagingmaterialforrecyclingpurposes.
• TheEuropeanDirective2012/19/EUonWasteElectrical
andElectronicEquipment(WEEE),requiresthatold
householdelectricalappliancesmustnotbedisposed
ofinthenormalunsortedmunicipalwastestream.Old
appliancesmustbecollectedseparatelyinorderto
optimisetherecoveryandrecyclingofthematerialsthey
containandreducetheimpactonhumanhealthandthe
environment.Thecrossedout“wheeledbin”symbolon
theproductremindsyouofyourobligation,thatwhenyou
disposeoftheapplianceitmustbeseparatelycollected.
Consumersshouldcontacttheirlocalauthority
orretailerforinformationconcerningthecorrect
disposaloftheiroldappliance.
Respecting and conserving the
environment
• Installtheapplianceinafreshandwell-ventilatedroom.
Ensurethatitisprotectedfromdirectsunlightanddonot
placeitnearheatsources.
• Trytoavoidkeepingthedooropenforlongperiodsor
openingthedoortoofrequentlyinordertoconserve
energy.
• Donotfilltheappliancewithtoomuchfood:coldair
mustcirculatefreelyforfoodtobepreservedproperly.
Ifcirculationisimpeded,thecompressorwillwork
continuously.
• Donotplacehotfooddirectlyintotherefrigerator.
Theinternaltemperaturewillincreaseandforcethe
compressortoworkharderandwillconsumemoreenergy.
• Regularlycheckthedoorsealsandwipecleantoensure
theyarefreeofdebrisandtopreventcoldairfrom
escaping(see Maintenance).
Troubleshooting
Iftheappliancedoesnotwork,beforecallingforAssistance
(seeAssistance),checkforasolutionfromthefollowinglist.
The TEMPERATURE indicator light does not
illuminates
•Theplughasnotbeeninsertedintotheelectricalsocket,ornot
farenoughtomakecontact,orthereisnopowerinthehouse.
The motor does not start.
•The appliance comeswith a motor protection control(see
Start-up and use).
The buzzer sounds at regular intervals.
• Theappliancedoorhasbeenleftopenforlongerthan2
minutes.Thebuzzerwillstopsoundingwhenyoushutthe
door.
The motor runs continuously.
• TheQUICKFREEZEbuttonhasbeenpressed:theSUPER
FREEZEindicatorlightison(seeDescription).
• Theappliancehasbeeninstalledbetweencabinetsthat
vibrateandmakenoise.
• Theinternalrefrigerantmakesaslightnoiseevenwhenthe
compressorisoff.Thisisnotadefect,itisnormal.
The appliance makes a lot of noise.
• Theappliancehasnotbeeninstalledonalevelsurface(see
Installation).
• Theappliancehasbeeninstalledbetweencabinetsthat
vibrateandmakenoise.
• Theinternalrefrigerantmakesaslightnoiseevenwhenthe
compressorisoff.Thisisnotadefect,itisnormal.
