1.Addengineoil(Figure26orFigure27).Withlterchange,theenginerequiresthefollowingamounts:
–Kawasakigasolineengines:1qt.and19oz.(1.5L)ofoilperchange.
–Kubotadieselengines:3qt.(2.8L)ofoilperchange.
2.Refertooilviscosityguidelinesforselectionofoilgrade(Figure28orFigure29).SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Donotexceedrecommendedoilcapacity.Doingsowilldecreaseengineperformanceorresultin
damagetotheengine.
3.Installtheoilllercap.
4.Connectbatteryandsparkplug(Gasonly)wires.SeeConnectingtheBattery–Gasoline/DieselVehicle
onpage13.
5.WiththeForward/ReversehandleintheNEUTRALposition,startandruntheengineforthreeminutesandcheck
forleaks.Observeboththedrainplugandtheoillterfromunderthevehicleandwatchforoilleaks.Ifthelter
leaks,tightenanadditional1/4turnandretest.Iftheoildrainplugleaks,re-torqueandretest.
NOTE:Waitafewminutesafterturningofftheenginebeforeremovingthedipstick.
6.Removethedipstickandchecktheengineoilasanalstep.Replacethedipstick.
OILVISCOSITY
Choosetheviscosityaccordingtothetemperatureasshownintheappropriateoilviscositychart(Figure28or
