The blades will operate when the battery is installed, the power indicator LED is lit, and the trigger,
throttle trigger lockout, and interlock switch are engaged. Make sure the hedge trimmer is properly
positioned to prevent loss of control and possible serious injury. Keep movable parts off the ground
and away from objects that could become entangled.
1. Remove blade cover.
2. Push power button (A) once to turn on power to unit.
Note: Power indicator LED (B) illuminates when power
to unit is turned on.
3. Hold the hedge trimmer by both handles. The
interlock switch (E) on the support handle must be
engaged for the hedge trimmer to start and/or
continue to run.
4. Hold down throttle trigger lockout (C) and depress
throttle trigger (D) to increase RPM to operating
speed.
Stopping Cordless Electric Hedge Trimmer
Read, understand, and follow all safety and operating instructions in this manual.
The blades do not stop immediately upon releasing throttle trigger (D).
1. Release throttle trigger (D) and throttle trigger
lockout (C), and allow blades to stop.
2. Push power button (A) to turn off power to unit.
Note: Power indicator LED (B) turns off when power to
unit is turned off.
If the power button does not stop the hedge
trimmer, remove the battery to stop the power
supply to hedge trimmer. Have your authorized
Shindaiwa servicing dealer repair power button
before using hedge trimmer again. If the blades do
not stop when the throttle trigger, throttle trigger
lockout, and interlock switch are released, remove
the battery to stop the power supply to hedge
trimmer. Have your authorized Shindaiwa servicing dealer repair unit before using again.
