Getting to know your computer
1 Headset jack and
microphone port
Used to connect to the headset and microphone
2 Charging port l Connect a MateDock2, mobile phone, or USB flash drive to
transfer files.
l Connect the power adapter to charge your computer.
The charging port cannot be used to connect display
devices (such as projectors and monitors).
3 Charging indicator Indicates the charging status.
l Flashing white: Less than 90% charged
l Constant white: At least 90% charged
4 Ambient light
sensor (hidden)
Detects the ambient light level and automatically adjusts the
screen brightness.
Do not cover the ambient light sensor. When purchasing a
screen protector, choose a screen protector with a
purpose-built hole for the ambient light sensor.
5 Camera Front camera for taking photos or making video calls.
6 Camera indicator Indicates the camera status. The indicator stays constant when
the camera is on.
