example, if the VDEV number is 1-1-(1), the VDEV belongs
to a parity group numbered 1-1.
A VDEV number that starts with E (for example, E1-1-(1))
indicates that the VDEV belongs to a parity group that
consists of one or more external LUs.
A VDEV number that starts with V (for example, V1-1-(1))
indicates that the VDEV belongs to a parity group that
consists of one or more XP Snapshot virtual volumes
(V-VOLs).
A VDEV number that starts with X (for example, X1-1-(1))
indicates that the VDEV belongs to a parity group that
consists of one or more XP Thin Provisioning virtual
volumes (V-VOLs).
Information about the VLL volumes to be created.VLL volume setting information table
No.: Setting number of the VLL volume in the table.
Emulation: Emulation type of the VLL volume.
Capacity: Capacity of the VLL volume. The unit for
capacity is already selected from the Capacity Unit list
in the Make Volume dialog box (1).
LDKC:CU:LDEV: LDKC number, CU number, and LDEV
number for the VLL volume to be created. The default is
blank.
When this check box is selected, VLL volumes of the
3390-3R emulation type appear in the VLL volume
3390-3R
setting-information table on the left side of this dialog box.
When this check box is cleared, VLL volumes of other than
the 3390-3R emulation type appear in the VLL volume
setting-information table.
This check box is available only when 3390-3R was
selected from the Emulation list on the Make Volume dialog
box (1).
If the 3390-3R check box is available, you must set the
LDEV number to all VLL volumes shown, whether the check
box is checked or cleared.
Use this area to set LDEV numbers for the VLL volumes you
intend to create.
Select LDEV No. area
Select LDKC No.: Select an LDKC number from the list.
The default is 00. The settings of LDEV numbers for the
selected LDKC and CU numbers appear in the Select
LDEV No. table.
Select CU No.: Select a CU number from the list. The
default is CU 00. The settings of LDEV numbers for the
selected CU number appear in the Select LDEV No.
table.
Interval: When selecting more than one volume, this list
allows you to set the interval between the LDEV numbers
that need to be assigned to the newly created volumes.
The default value is 0. When you select 0, the LDEV
numbers will be assigned consecutively.
The value that you specify as the interval between LDEV
numbers counts only the available LDEV numbers and
skips those that are not selectable.
Select LDEV No. table: Shows the settings of LDEV
numbers for the CU number selected from the Select CU
No. list. Gray indicates LDEV numbers that are not
selectable, white indicates unused LDEV numbers, and
