8. Open the drum cover fully and remove the metal arm as
shown. Although it is fairly easy to remove the entire cover it is
not necessary. Either hold the cover open with your hand,
or tape the cover open with a small piece of tape.
9. Remove the two screws that hold the gear housing cover on the right side of the cartridge. There is a plastic tab on the top that
must be pressed down to release the cover. Be very careful not to damage any of the pins on this cover when it is being removed.
Note that they are similar to the 4000, but again slightly different. They are attached to the cover, and can only be removed if you
press in the tabs.
