Preface
This guide provides information about HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition mainframe agent
(called XP7 mainframe agent throughout), including the tasks like installing, setting up, starting,
stopping, and troubleshooting and messages. This guide is intended for system administrators who
install, set up, operate, or troubleshoot XP7 mainframe agent. This guide assumes that the reader has
basic knowledge of communications, and knowledge of the operating system on which XP7 mainframe
agent is installed (z/OS). Also, knowledge of HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition software
and for linkage with HP XP7 Replication Manager, knowledge of HP XP7 Replication Manager is
beneficial.
