CLI after starting the Management
server or P9000 Command View AE
Suite product services.
CAUSE: If the KAIC03100-E error
message is output to the Device
Manager trace log file, the
communication process from Device
Manager server to the database has

• If 10 minutes have passed since the stop request, and
the Tiered Storage Manager server is still not stopping,
execute the following command:
In Windows:
installation-folder-for-Tiered-Storage-
Manager-server\bin\htsmserver forcestop
In Linux:
installation-directory-for-Tiered-Stor-
age-Manager-server/bin/htsmserver
forcestop
• Perform the operation again through a user who has
administrator permissions for the OS.

Manager server has not stopped.
CAUSE: Possible causes are as

• An error occurred in the Tiered
Storage Manager server during
processing to stop it.
