To display the information provided by each link, in the Explorer menu, click Resources, and
then Pair Configurations, and then click the item corresponding to each link in the displayed
view by choosing Resources and then Pair Configurations in the Explorer menu.
Launching Change Pair Status wizard
If all of the following conditions are met when you select a copy pair and launch the Change Pair
Status wizard, running the wizard might fail with the KAVN00433-E (RPM-00480) error message.
(i) The copy group includes 256 or more copy pairs.
(ii) The copy group described in (i) includes 256 or more copy pairs in Simplex-(SMPL)
status.
To change the status of all the copy pairs in the copy group described in (i) and (ii):
1. In Explorer menu, select Resources and then Pair Configurations to display Pair
Configurations view, and then select Pair Management Server, Config File, and then
Copy Group.
2. Select any one copy pair shown in the Pairs tab, and then click Change Pair Status in the
Pairs tab to launch the Change Pair Status wizard.
3. After launching the Change Pair Status wizard, select no more than 255 copy pairs in the
copy group, and then continue the operation.
Repeat steps (2) and (3) to change the status of all the copy pairs in the copy group.
Application Agent Operations
(1) Users must specify the definition of HORCM_DEV, HORCM_LDEV, or HORCM_LDEVG in
the RAID Manager configuration definition file that is used by Application Agent.
In a configuration where the copy group is defined using a device group (a configuration
where group information is registered in the storage system and imported to RAID Manager),
the HORCM_LDEVG definition cannot be omitted and must be specified in the RAID
Manager configuration definition files of the two RAID Manager instances that manage the
primary volume and the secondary volume.
If the previous instructions are not followed, unanticipated results might occur when executing
Application Agent. The confirmed issue that might occur and recommended troubleshooting
procedures that should be followed are describedas follows.
[Confirmed Issues]
After using the Application Agent CLI or Application Linkage from the Replication Manager
GUI, the primary volume might be disconnected from the database server (file server) when
the server is rebooted or when the scanning for disks is performed.
