Known install and update problems
Table 15 (page 74) describes problems currently known to occur while installing and/or updating
to HP-UX 11i v3.

Upon using update-ux(1M) to update a system that contains a version of HP-UX
WBEM Direct Attached Storage Provider (DASProvider) prior to vB.11.31.1106
Upon update,
WBEMP-Storage.STORAGE-PROV-RUN
filesets might not be configured (HP-UX 11i v3 March 2011 OEUR or earlier), the
WBEMP-Storage.STORAGE-PROV-RUN fileset might not be configured. Trying
to configure the fileset using swconfig(1M) might also fail. The following might be
seen in the /var/adm/sw/swagent.log file:
* Running "configure" script for fileset
"WBEMP-Storage.STORAGE-PROV-RUN".
NOTE: Disabling old Disk Native Provider.
ERROR: PGC00617: Disabling the provider module...
PGS00414: Connection timed out.

What to do
Uninstall the currently running DASProvider, where the problem is seen. Then
install either DASProvider vB.11.31.1106 (available on the web) or
vB.11.31.1109.05.01 (delivered in the HP-UX 11i v3 September 2011 OEUR).
The following problems occur for Asian languages only:Asian language command output
might display incorrectly for
When command output is saved in files and displayed in a text editor such as
the vi tool, the character “^M” appears at the end of message strings.

Volume Manager, WBEM Services,
and Disks and File Systems (fsweb)
In the command line interface, command output in table formats might not be
aligned and table labels might not display for some commands.

If you update to Serviceguard A.11.20, Target Port Cluster congestion control will
be disabled due to a problem found with ESCSI ioctl. Target Port Cluster
