5 Software update on VSA 1.x to VSA 2.0
StoreOnce VSA 2.0 provides various enhanced features over StoreOnce VSA 1.x. To update an
existing VSA 1.x to this newer version an RPM is available in the StoreOnce VSA package.
This RPM update applies to
• StoreOnce VSA 1.0.0 with software version 3.7.0 or
• StoreOnce VSA 1.1.1 with software version 3.7.1 or
• StoreOnce VSA 1.2.0 with software version 3.7.2 or
• StoreOnce VSA 1.3.0 with software version 3.7.3.

sftp the upgrade to the software repository on the StoreOnce VSA
sftp the upgrade package (D2D_Master-734561-B21-3.11.0-1411.2.x86_64.rpm) to
the software repository on the StoreOnce appliance.
NOTE: In the following instructions, where the term Management IP address is used, this is the
IP address that you normally use to log on to the StoreOnce GUI or CLI.
• Using Linux
sftp Admin@<Management_IP Address>
cd repository
put D2D_Master-734561-B21-3.11.0-1411.2.x86_64.rpm
exit sftp
• Using a Windows sftp client
Ensure the File Protocol is set to SFTP, not SCP.
Login to the Management IP address as Admin.
Copy D2D_Master-734561-B21-3.11.0-1411.2.x86_64.rpm to repository.
Run the StoreOnce CLI software update commands
Enter the following StoreOnce CLI commands:
• system show repository which should list out the rpm file you copied over
• system load package D2D_Master-734561-B21-3.11.0-1411.2.x86_64.rpm
which will load and unpack the package
• system show packages which will show you the packages staged ready for update
• system update packages which will begin the process to upgrade and reboot the
StoreOnce VSA
