2 Prerequisites for the OpenStorage (OST) plug-in

This section describes media server prerequisites that should be considered before installing the

HP OpenStorage (OST) plug-in for Symantec NetBackup.

NOTE: Be sure to observe the following notes:

• While installing NetBackup, be sure to take note of and appropriately resolve all warnings

and errors encountered during pre-install checks. Failure to do so may impact backup operations

later.

• It is recommended that you install NetBackup first, and then install the HP OST plug-in.
