HP StorageWorks Fabric OS 6.3.1c Release Notes (5697-0509 September 2010 - includes all 6.3.1x versions)
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
Workaround prior to upgrade: Limit
the number of dynamic paths on
these platforms. Note: if there are
more than 16 dynamic paths already
on these platforms, upgrade to 6.3.1
may be a cold recovery.
RTWR (Reliable Transport Write and Read) messages get logged when
more than 16 dynamic paths are set up to remote domains on HP 8
Gb switches. Customer may experience path loss and traffic interruption.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
Workaround prior to upgrade:
Refrain from using low I/O rate
traffic.
When small read requests (low I/O rate traffic) sent via FCIP tunnel, a
2 - 4 ms delay can be seen between the time data arrives on the GE
port until it's sent out the FC port, leading to >10 ms response time.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
HP 10/24 FCoE blade gets into faulty (21) mode during stress testing
due to backend port fault.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
After a target port bounce, the FC FastWrite host cannot recognize
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2a the target due to a cam setup problem on
the backend port used by FC FastWrite.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
HP StorageWorks DC SAN director with 10/24 FCoE blade crashed
while attempting to change TE Port from LAG (Link Aggregation) to trunk
mode.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
While running Fabric OS 6.2.2, the switch can panic after executing
a fcplunquery or iscsicfg CLI command for the target entity on
HP StorageWorks iSCSI Director Blade. An FCPd termination occurs if
a PRLI or Report LUN query times out during fcplunquery/iscsicfg
command and the LOGO response is missing a message queue required
for processing, resulting in a switch panic.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
Workaround prior to upgrade: Move
10/24 blade to a lower number slot.
When an HP 10/24 FCoE blade is installed in the highest number slot
in a DC SAN director or DC04 SAN director, it will not send out any
UA's (Unsolicited Advertisements), so FCoE traffic will not occur.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
Switch displays incorrect information upon userconfig --show
command execution. Changes to admin password on a switch are not
being recorded properly (password last change date shows incorrect
date).
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
I2C read values of 0xFF and I2C NACK error case not properly handled
causing Fabric Watch to report improbable/unpredictable SFP values.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
Workaround prior to upgrade: Set
up tstimezone through CLI.
The configdownload command does not load tstimezone info after
changing tzh and tzm in the config.txt file to new values.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
Workaround prior to upgrade: Set
suid permissions for ethmode: chmod
+s /fabos/libexec/ ethmode
After upgrade to Fabric OS 6.x, rsh using user credential gets ifmod-
eshow eth0: ioctl (ETHTOOL_GSET) failed error in response to
ifmodeshow command. Telnet and rsh with root credential work fine.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.3.1
4 Gb SFPs do not consistently show data in sfpshow on HP Storage-
Works 1606 Extension SAN switch ports. Sfpshow reports cannot
read serial data, or incorrect serial number, or no serial number
