Issue: Automated Storage Manager jobs fail to execute or fail validation. Workaround: Automated Storage Manager clients like the ASM Client or the Initial Configuration Tasks storage provisioning tool affect changes to the storage system by submitting jobs to a task queue. Validation of individual jobs is performed when the job is submitted and again when the job is executed.
Issue: When performing storage tasks such as extending LUNs and deleting LUNs using DiskRAID and ASM, a VDS application error may be issued. Workaround: This error can be safely ignored; there is no functionality impact to ASM. Issue: Shared folders that have no file system quota assigned to them cause unexpected behavior in ASM. The following behavior may be observed in the ASM user interface for shared folders that have no file system quota: 1.
Issue: Data Protector Express 5.0 functionality is not available through ASM if Data Protector Express is installed in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean A problem with Data Protector Express installations in languages with multi-byte character sets disables the integration of Data Protector Express and ASM. This only affects the use of Data Protector Express functionality through the ASM user interface; there are no problems when using the Data Protector Express user interface directly.
