5. Connect to the down SAS interconnect by entering the following command:
connect interconnect <victim SAS interconnect bay number>
For example switch 3 shown in the following output is the victim SAS interconnect:

convenience and does not supply additional access control. For security reasons, use the
password features of the integrated switch.

6. Once the prompt is given, reset the SAS switch by entering the following command.
sw local reset hardware forced
The following is an example of the command’s output from a 9730:

7. Retry the operation (discovery/flash recommendation/flash) that previously failed.
8. After the switch reboots and displays the login prompt, press the following keys in order:
1. Press the RETURN key.
2. Press the tilde (~) key.
3. Press the period (.) key.
Firmware update alert events are cleared every 24 hours. Ignore the alert for the next 24 hours
if you updated the firmware in response to an alert.
