Description This document outlines the main changes for the W25D firmware maintenance release version. These changes are a combination of customer reported issues and enhancements found via HP internal testing. This firmware release is fully compatible with all previously released versions of HP Ultrium LTO-4 hardware. The encryption algorithm used in the HP Ultrium LTO-4 tape drive is unaffected by this firmware release.
Installation instructions Use HP StorageWorks Library & Tape Tools (L&TT) to update the tape drive firmware. You can download L&TT from http://www.hp.com/support/tapetools. Online help and instructions are included with the utility. NOTE: Once the download has started, do NOT power off the unit or interrupt the firmware download process until the download is complete. Doing so could leave the product in a non-usable state.
