Probable Cause
Indicates that a fan FRU has failed. This message is often preceded by a low fan speed message.
Recommended Action
Run the tempShow command to check if the switch temperatures are too high. Refer to the hardware
reference manual for the temperature range of your switch.
Run the fanShow command to verify that the fan is faulty.
For the SAN Switch 2/32 and SAN Switch 4/32, replace the fan FRU.
For the 4/8 SAN Switch, 4/16 SAN Switch, SAN Switch 2/8V and SAN Switch 2/16V, the entire switch
must be replaced, because these switches do not have FRUs.
