HP StorageWorks Fabric OS 5.2.x administrator guide (5697-0014, November 2009)
32 Performing basic configuration tasks
4. You are finally prompted to specify the time zone region.
Synchronizing local time
You can synchronize the local time of the Principal or Primary Fabric Configuration Server (FCS) switch to
an external NTP server. It is suggested that you synchronize time with an external NTP server, as described
on ”How to synchronize local time with an external source” on page 32.
How to synchronize local time with an external source
1. Connect to the switch and log in with an account assigned to the admin role.
2. Enter the tsClockServer command:
where ipaddr is the IP address of the NTP server, which the switch must be able to access. This operand
is optional; by default this value is LOCL, which uses the local clock of the principal or primary switch
as the clock server.
