Configuring the database distribution settings
The distribution settings control whether a switch accepts or rejects distributions of databases from other
switches and whether or not the switch may initiate a distribution. Configure the distribution setting to reject
when maintaining the database on a per-switch basis.
Table 28 lists the databases supported starting in Fabric OS 5.2.x.
NOTE: SeeDistributing the local user database” on page 63 for details on managing and distributing
the user account database.
To display the database distribution settings
1. Connect to the switch.
2. Enter the following command:
To enable switch-local protection
1. Connect to the switch.
2. Enter the following command:
To disable switch-local protection
1. Connect to the switch.
1. Error returned indicating that the distribution setting must be accept before you can set the
fabric-wide consistency policy.

localreject Refuse the databases distributed from other switches. Cannot distribute local
database, manually or automatically, to other switches.
database_id A semicolon-separated list of the local databases to be distributed, either
SCC and/or DCC.
