Serviceguard Cluster and Package Configuration Via Serviceguard Manager or System Management Homepage Starting with HP Serviceguard Manager B.12.00.00 available in Serviceguard A.12.00.00 the following Serviceguard Manager operations are supported in a Metrocluster environment: • Configuration, monitoring and administration of Metrocluster modular packages.
• When using the pairresync command to resynchronize PVOL/SVOL Continuous Access pairs, specify the -c 15 switch to ensure the fastest resynchronization in order to reduce vulnerability to a rolling disaster. • HP recommends you to use the disk monitor for effective and persistent monitoring of disks. P9500/XP24000/XP20000 array can only pair with 1 journal group in another P9500/XP24000/XP20000 array. Continuous Access Journal does not support operations in which one primary data volume is copied to more than one secondary data volume, or more than one primary data volume is copied to one secondary data volume. Mode 449 for Continuous Access Journal Operations Metrocluster supports Mode 449, which is set to the same value for P9500, XP20000, and XP24000 disk arrays.
Fixes in B.12.00.00 version • The following defects are resolved in B.12.00.00 version: ◦ QXCR1001305411 The /usr/local/cmcluster/toolkit/DRS/lib/XP_ED.pm shows the syntax error. ◦ QXCR1001315748 The boot start of raid manager does not happen at run level 3. ◦ QXCR1001322550 The cmcheckconf command fails on Metrocluster packages if xpca module is included instead of mcxpca module.
