Deleting credentials
Deleting management group credentials from the Recovery Manager has the following implications
for mounted snapshots and Auto-Mount Policies:
• Snapshots that were mounted by the Recovery Manager are no longer visible in the Recovery
Manager when the management group credentials are deleted. However, those snapshots
remain mounted on the system until they are manually unmounted.
• If the management group has Auto–Mount Policies associated with it, those policies remain
in place but do not operate properly. You should remove any Auto-Mount Policies associated
with a management group before deleting management group credentials.
1. Select Delete Management Group from credentials cache from the Select Option list in the
Manage Group Credentials dialog box.
2. Select the management group from the list.
3. Click OK.
4. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Setting discover wait time
You can specify the amount of time Recovery Manager waits to discover management groups
when adding management group credentials. The default setting is 5 seconds, and it can be
increased up to 60 seconds.
To set the discover wait time in the Preferences window:
1. Select File→Preferences from the menu bar.
2. Set the Discover Wait Time.
3. Click OK to finish.
NOTE: This setting applies to Recovery Manager, Application Aware Snapshot Manager, and
the CLI.
Configuring snapshot preferences
You can configure the snapshot preferences in the Preferences window.
Setting locations for mounting snapshots and copying recovered files and folders
The Preferences window allows you to change the default locations for mounting snapshots and
for copying the recovered files and folders.
1. Select File→Preferences from the menu bar.
2. In the Preferences window, browse to the desired locations for mounting snapshots and copying
recovered files and folders.
3. Click OK to finish.
Specifying the transport type
In version 1.2 or later, you can specify the preferred transport type to use when both iSCSI and
Fibre Channel transport types are available.
Guidelines
• If the host server that is running Recovery Manager has both iSCSI and Fibre Channel types
available, the volumes will be mounted using the preferred transport type.
• If the host server that is running Recovery Manager has only one transport type available,
then the available transport type is used.
• The default transport type is iSCSI.
