To verify that basic or advanced data path failover is working:
1. From the Fibre Channel switch's management console, down the main Fibre Channel port to
a drive.
2. From the host computers confirm that the drive is still accessible. After confirming that the drive
is still accessible the host logs should show a failover event.
3. To verify that failover occurred, navigate to Monitor→Drives to launch the Drive Status dialog.
The link status for the first port is Down, and the link status for the second port is Active as
shown below.
Diagnosing basic data path failover
When a drive failover occurs the Drives subsystem has a Warning state, which is displayed in
the Overall System Status section of the Management Console.
