Version: 7.20 Description This release includes updated firmware for the HP StorageWorks MSL4048 Tape Library. The firmware can be updated through any of the following methods: • Remote management interface (RMI). • Operator control panel (OCP) using a USB flash drive. • HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT). Library firmware version 7.20 Compatible robotics firmware version Update recommendation Supersedes 3.00e Recommended All previous versions of Library firmware.
Fixes • Fixed a case when Ultrium 4 Fibre Channel tape drives with drive firmware version H58W were configured to 1 Gb/S when using the RMI or OCP automatic port speed configuration. The automatic configuration setup will now result in the correct port speed for the host bus adapter (HBA). • Fixed a case where the Library would not rescan the barcodes when a magazine that was removed using an OCP command was re-inserted before the Insert Left/Right Magazine(s) dialog appeared.
3. Click the device to update in the device list. 4. Click Firmware on the main toolbar. 5. On the Update Firmware tab, select the box next to each device for which you want to update firmware. If firmware is currently available for that device, it is shown in Firmware File in the File Selection section of the screen. 6. Click Start Update at the bottom of the screen to begin the update.
