• Installation
The HP Insight Dynamics 6.0 installer and vseinitconfig include support for a 64-bit
CMS and a 32-bit CMS.
Agent installation is performed using the new Insight managed system setup wizard. Agent
installation menu options are removed.

• Application Discovery
Application Discovery inventories applications in a network, and allows you to centrally
monitor application activity. In combination with HP Insight Virtualization Manager software,
Application Discovery allows you to group running processes into applications that can be
added to a workload for more comprehensive resource management. This release provides
increased scalability and defect fixes.
• HP Insight Capacity Advisor software
Capacity Advisor provides capacity analysis and planning software that allows you to
anticipate changes needed to optimize workloads across your virtual server environment
for the best utilization of server resources. New in this release:
— The ability to collect utilization data from Linux standalone x86/x64 servers without
installing an agent or provider. However, the Utilization Provider is still required for
automatic power calibration on Integrity systems.
— Additional metrics appearing in several new reports, including cost allocation for
resources on VM hosts and standalone servers, peak consumption, server populations,
and consolidation candidates.
— The ability to export most reports as Excel CSV files.
— The ability to recognize, model, and otherwise account for a VMware DRS cluster,
treating VMware clusters as single entities.
— Using industry standard benchmarks to scale CPU data when moving systems or
workloads in a scenario to increase modeling accuracy.
— Enhanced wizard for creating scenarios.
