Pre-configured power settings

Your new HP LaserJet product is pre-configured with the following power settings.

Sleep Delay: 15 minutes

NOTE: After 15 minutes, the product enters sleep mode.

Auto Power Down: 2 hours

NOTE: If no wake events are enabled, after two hours, the product turns off. In order to print, you need to turn the

product on again.

The product is able to wake when any of the following events occur:

• When you send a print job (USB, wired network, or wireless network connection)

• When you press a button on the control panel

• When you insert a USB flash drive

Change the power-management settings from the control panel

If you want to change the preconfigured power-management settings, you can change them from the product

control panel.

Set the sleep delay

1. From the Home screen on the product control panel, press the OK button.

2. Open the following menus:

• System Setup

• Energy Settings

• Sleep Delay

3. Select the time for the delay, and then press the OK button.

NOTE: The default value is 15 minutes.

Set the auto power down delay

1. From the Home screen on the product control panel, press the OK button.

2. Open the following menus:

• System Setup

• Energy Settings

• Auto Power Down

• Power Down Delay

3. Select the time for the power-down delay.

NOTE: The default value is 2 hours.
