Certification and classification information

This product conta

ins a laser internal to the fiber optic (FO) transceiver for connection to

the Fibre Channel communications p ort.

In the USA, the FO transceiver is cer tified as a Class 1 laser product conforming to

the requirements contained in the Depa rtment of Health and Hum a n Services (DHHS)

regulation 21 CFR, S ubchapter J. A label on the p lastic FO transceiver housing

indicates the cer tification.

Outside the USA, the FO transceiver is cer tified as a Class 1 laser product conforming

to the requirements contained in IEC 825-1:1993 and EN 60825-1:1994, i ncluding

Amendment 11:1996 and Amendment 2:2001.

The optional label in Figure 59 or equivalent may be loc ated on the sur face of the

HP supplied laser d evice.
