12 Unexpected or Wrong Output
• A long-axis print is clipped
– Does your software support long-axis prints?
– Have you specified an appropriate media size
in your software?
– Unless it is a PostScript file, make sure that
→ Page format → Size → Inked area is
set.
• An HP-GL job prints incorrectly or not at all
– HP-GL is not supported by these printers.
• The entire image is in one quadrant of the correct
printing area
– Is the page size configured in the software too
small?
– Are you sure that your software doesn’t
believe the image to be in one quadrant of the
page?
– Try changing the language setting.

• The image is unexpectedly rotated
– Check the → Page format → Rotate
option.
• The print is a mirror image of your image
– Check the → Page format → Mirroring
setting.
• The print is distorted or unintelligible
– Check and if necessary replace the interface
cable between your computer and the printer;
– Try changing the language setting.
