HP Color LaserJet CP3505 Printer - Software Technical Reference

If the computer is running a 64-bit Windows operating system, you must install the corresponding 64-bit
print driver. The 64-bit print drivers are included on the software CD-ROM. Use the following steps to
install a print driver by using the Add Printer feature.
1. Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive.
2. Click Start on the desktop, click Settings, click Printers and Faxes, and then click Add a
printer. The Add a printer wizard screen appears.
3. Use the Add a printer wizard to find and connect to the product. The print drivers are loaded as a
part of this process.
4. Select the Have disk option and navigate to one of the print-driver files on the software CD, as
shown in the following list:
32-bit. For use with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista
32-bit operating systems. Navigate to the following driver files:
PLC 6:\Drivers\i386(32 bit - 2000_XP_S2003_Vista)\PCL6\hpc3505c.inf
PLC 6 Black: \Drivers\i386(32 bit - 2000_XP_S2003_Vista)\PCL6\hpc350bc.inf
PLC 5c:\Drivers\i386(32 bit - 2000_XP_S2003_Vista)\PCL6\hpc3505b.inf
PS:\Drivers\i386(32 bit - 2000_XP_S2003_Vista)\PCL6\hpc3505d.inf
64-bit. For use with Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista 64-bit operating
systems. Navigate to the following driver files:
PLC 6:\Drivers\x64(64 bit - XP_S2003_Vista)\PCL6\hpc3505u.inf
PLC 6 Black: \Drivers\x64(64 bit - XP_S2003_Vista)\PCL6\hpc350bu.inf
PLC 5c:\Drivers\x64(64 bit - XP_S2003_Vista)\PCL6\hpc3505t.inf
PS:\Drivers\x64(64 bit - XP_S2003_Vista)\PCL6\hpc3505v.inf
5. Complete the wizard steps. The print driver will be installed as part of the wizard process.
MS Windows installation for computers on a network
Installing from a network or from downloaded files
Follow these instructions if you downloaded the files from the Web, or if you are installing the printing-
system files from a network. You might need to see your network administrator for the location of the
printing-system software file.
1. Browse to the location of the SETUP.EXE file.
2. Double-click the SETUP.EXE file.
3. Click Install and continue to follow the instructions until the product is installed. For detailed

Point and Print installation for Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, and Vista
The following information helps you install a print driver by using the Microsoft Point and Print function
when you cannot see the product on the network.
