9. Click Start, Settings, and then click Printers to confirm that the HP Color LaserJet 2605 PCL 6

or the HP Color LaserJet 2605dn_dtn PCL6 driver is installed.

Add-Printer Wizard installation for network connections in Windows Server

2003

The setup.exe program on the HP Color LaserJet 2605 printing-system CD is not supported in Windows

Server 2003. The HP Color LaserJet 2605 print driver software must be installed using Microsoft Add-

Printer Wizard for network connections or using a plug-and-play installation for direct USB connections..

Follow these steps to install the HP Color LaserJet 2605 print driver software on a computer running

Windows Server 2003.

1. Close all open programs on your computer.

2. Insert the HP Color LaserJet 2605 printing-system CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer.

NOTE If the CD starts automatically, click Exit to exit the installation program.

3. Open Printers and Faxes, and then double-click Add Printer.

4. Click Next on the Welcome screen.

5. Follow the onscreen instructions.

6. When prompted for a location of the driver, browse to the following location on the HP Color

LaserJet 2605 series software CD:

<CD ROM drive>:\drivers\Win2000_XP
