Library Robotics
The DLT MiniLibrary system features library robotics that can load any of the
cartridges stored in any magazine in the system into any of the DLT tape
drives, moving cartridges among as many as six modules within the DLT
MiniLibrary system. The robotics design utilizes the Compaq Library
Robotics, which is known for its reliability.
Bar Code Reader
The optional bar code reader can be mounted on the cartridge shuttle in each
module. It reads bar code labels attached to each cartridge, and maintains the
bar code data in memory as part of the library system map. Upgrade kits to add
the bar code reader are available for the MiniLibrary Expansion Unit, the
MiniLibrary Base Module and the Data Unit.
